History: One of four children in a wealthy and prosperous
family, Helen is perhaps the most beautiful woman in all
the known world. She was courted from an early age as
rumors of her beauty spread through out the land.
Finally, when she was sixteen, her parents gave her to
Menelaus, king of Sparta, for marriage, thinking it a good
match. Of course, Helen was never consulted.
She didn't like Menelaus, knowing he viewed her as an
object and a possession. She made a good queen
though, an asset to Menelaus. It was when the princes
from Troy came to barter a peace that her life changed.
Paris, the younger of the two princes, courted and
pursued her relentlessly. And she gave in to the foreign
prince. When he asked her to come with him back to Troy,
she willingly went, not thinking of the consequences. Now
she finds herself in a foreign land with a man who is not
her husband, knowings he is the scapegoat for the largest
war the world has ever seen.
